Orchun96 (Orchun Mert) is a contemporary artist and the founder of 96 Boiz Art Collective. His work is recognized for the development of the 96 Contour Style, a visual language characterized by expressive linework, abstract figures, and influences drawn from contemporary visual culture.
Before dedicating himself fully to contemporary art, Orchun96 worked as a photographer. His photographs gained international attention after being shared on social media by Offset and Swae Lee.
The collaborations were later covered by major Turkish media outlets, including Hürriyet, introducing his work to a wider audience and attracting thousands of young rap listeners to his profile.
Following this period, he shifted his focus toward painting, illustration and mixed media. Through 96 Boiz Art Collective, he developed a collaborative artistic platform and continued refining the 96 Contour Style.
The collective’s early collections generated millions of views on Pinterest, helping establish an international audience and recognition for the 96 Contour Style.
